I want cash for a few games and a DS. I do not want to put the money on my edge card. Will they give me cash or do I have to put it on my card.
If you want cash for the games you’re trading in instead of credit, they’ll take away 20% of what you would get if you wanted store credit, not 10%.
Example:
Professor Layton and the Curious Village has an approximate trade-in value of $10. If you wanted cash for it, you’d get $8.
Keep in mind, you payed $30 new for it.
That’s how the system works.
By the way, I don’t know the exact trade-in value of that game, so don’t hold me accountable for the information.

Gamestop will give you cash but not much. I Traded in a DS. game ( Animal Crossing Wild World) which I originally bought for $34.99 and they only paid me $6.00. The only catch is that I lost the case and the guide, so that was not included in the sale and could have lowered the price. Hope this helps.

Yes you can get cash for the games and systems but they will take 10 percent off the value plus you will not be able to receive any of the trade in specials and you will not receive the 10 percent extra with the edge card
I know this was not part of the question but you would be better off selling i to a friend or something to that effect, because gamestop does not give much for the older DS at all and depending on the games you wont get but a few bucks a game, I am a video game trader my self and find my self in your shoes, I dont know what ds yo have but if its older the the DSI then dont wast your time
